Hi everyone!

Today I will talk to you about my trip to Sweden, to be more accurate to Umea which is located in the East side of the country. First of all, this trip was planned quite quickly in

the middle of week, because our schedule allows us to be free until the next Monday. So, we had approximately 5 days to make this trip and come back to Seinäjoki.

To enjoy our little vacations, we managed our trip with an Air BnB on Umea and for the travel, we decided to take the bus from Seinäjoki to Vaasa (which is a wonderful city by the way) and then take a ferry from Vaasa to Umea, which across straight ahead Bothnian Sea. This travel has been done in more than a half of a day, from Seinäjoki to Vaasa it takes 2h in bus, and after, from Vaasa to Umea it takes 5h30.

Also, as you might know yes, Sweden is part of Europe, but the currency isn’t the Euro but the Swedish krona. For instance, 10 Swedish krona (kr) represent 1 € (to make calculus easier you just have to divided by 10 each time).

During our travel to Umea, we discovered the main city, with these beautiful places, various monuments, architectures (like the giant clothespin), and different museums like Bildmuseet, a modern art museum, or the guitar museum, which is ranked among the best museum of all Sweden.

Also, we have noticed that Umea is really calm city, with waterside facilities for all kind of leisure (there is a skatepark, a parkour site and also very long bench on which you can stretch out yourself inside).

This trip was one of my favourites, because contrary to all other trips before, this one was more soothing thanks to the atmosphere released by the place. If you didn’t try yet Umea I will strongly recommend you go there.
