The trip’s beginning

The trip began Wednesday 14th February, on Valentine’s Day. I got on the road to Paris, Orly at 6.30 AM in my parent’s car. For my two travel companions, Nicolas and Daniel, the journey started a little bit later, at 9.00 AM. We decided to meet at 10.30 AM at the airport to check-in. They arrived early, but I was stuck in traffic on the highway, and arrived just 5 minutes before the deadline. We finally met after the security checks, 1 hour and a half before the boarding.

Just arrived in Helsinki

While waiting for the plane, which was 25 minutes late, we were joined by some of our other Finnish crew mates: Arthur, Nathan, Jeremy and Clément. We finally boarded the plane and 3 hours later we were landing in Helsinki. After picking up our luggage we took the tramway to the center of the capital to then take the train to Seinajoki. We arrived at 11 PM at Seinajoki where our tutor, Topias, was waiting for us. He led us to the dormitory where we are going to live during the next 4 months. This was the end of our first day in Erasmus.
